Remember Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) and his outburst at Obama’s 2010 State of the Union address? Here’s a refresher:
Obama said his healthcare plan would not cover illegal aliens – twice. Wilson shouted “You lie!” to the outrage of many, and for which he was later censured by Pelosi & Co.
Well, it turns out Wilson was right, and we didn’t even have to wait for the full rollout of ObamaCare in 2014 to see it.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced on Tuesday that it has awarded $28.8 million to 67 community health centers with funds from the Obamacare health reform law. But as part of that sum, CNS reports that ”approximately $8.5 million will be used by 25 New Access Point awardees to target services to migrant and seasonal farm workers,” and an HHS official said:
“grant recipients will not check the immigration status of people seeking services. ‘Health centers do not, as a matter of routine practice, ask about or collect data on citizenship or other matters not related to the treatment needs of the patients seeking health services at the center,’ Further, the grant recipients are ‘required to serve all residents’ who walk through their doors”.
So say it again, Joe Wilson: Obama lied. Since “50% of “migrant” agricultural workers are illegal aliens”, according to the New York Times, that means it will be guaranteed that tens of thousands of illegal aliens will be covered under ObamaCare.

I can’t go to the Health Dept. without giving them all my info, I couldn’t get my kids in school without a Birh Certificate and proof of residency. My kids are grown now, but the point is, that is the way it was done. So, why is it racial to demand the same to anyone getting healthcare or putting kids in school? I am a American citizen and have followed the rules by providing my info whenever asked, I feel that everyone should…so I guess I am a racist! Close the borders, deport all illegals and if they want to come here tbey can do it legally.
Ok so me and my husband cant get medicaid because we “make too much” but the cheapest insurance plan we can get is 175 a month but DOES NOT cover dr visits….seems like a waste to me if i cant go see a dr.

Really? Does it matter where the money comes from? It costs the State of California 25 BILLION per year anyway for Illegal hispanics! It cost the city of L.A. $600 MILLION just for the births of ILLEGAL hispanics last year alone, SO who cares if the money comes from Obama care or not? Illegals have been getting it ALL FREE for YEARS!
You people are all funny, thinking it not fair to fund people who knowingly break the law and laugh about it. Being that I have worked side by side with immigrants that had no legal documentation i know personally what goes on in the work force. They are hired because greedy business owners don’t pay taxes on them and they work cheaper. So the companies exploit them and they send most of their money home. I have heard these workers curse about this country and how we owe them because we won some of their land. Then they have the nerve to openly admit about their fake ID’s with someone else’s SSN. Once reported they just hide somewhere else. And the business owners support this because it makes them a lot of money. Sure give them what they want after all we brought them here it’s not like they sneaked across and refuse to gain citizenship. They should have health care but they should pay for it.
Well, if everyone in this country thought the same as you, we wouldn’t be in this mess would we. We would be worse off than Greece and Spain and be looking for welfare for the entire nation.

I couldn’t agree more. And if the illegals here discovered there was no longer work for them they would LEAVE. They don’t want the American dream, just America’s money and freebies. We as Americans can’t grab the cheapest labor, go for the cheapest subcontractor, landscaper, housekeeper, babysitter, worker or buy the cheapest products. We must put the pressure on our businesses to hire legally and let them know if they don’t, we won’t do business with them.
The illegals will go when the well dries up.

You mean you’re trying to suggest that the healthcare system in place *before* Obamacare never helped an illegal alien….. or is that a politically inconvenient truth to acknowledge?
