The gloves are finally off on the immigration debate within the GOP Presidential nomination race. “Keep Conservatives United” a political action committee that supports Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) is running a 60-sec radio ad in South Carolina this week on conservative talk shows such as Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, targeting Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) for his positions on immigration issues.
The ad takes on Perry over his support for in-state tuition for illegal aliens (he was the first governor in the nation to do so) and his opposition to mandatory E-Verify and the Arizona enforcement law S.B. 1070. It even goes after “Perry’s financial backers” for scuttling immigration legislation – likely meaning H-E-B honcho Charles Butt and homebuilder Bob Perry – no relation – who both browbeat legislators into torpedoing the outstanding “Sanctuary Cities” bill earier this year.
Take a listen:
No matter what candidate you support – if any – it is good to finally see these issues out on the open where they belong, and a strong part of the 2012 GOP debate.
Stand With Arizona has no dog in this hunt at this stage. Our loyalty is not to any one candidate, but to the issues at hand. The fight against illegal immigration is a fight for American survival. We cannot accept politicians who flout the clear will of the People – and that will is NO amnesty in ANY form, NO open borders, and NO jobs, ObamaCare, or welfare for illegal aliens.
We welcome Gov. Perry’s response, and futher debate among the candidates on these critical issues.
PLEASE CONSIDER A DONATION of $10.70 to Stand With Arizona in honor of SB1070, to help us continue to fight against illegal alien amnesty and push for Arizona-style enforcement laws nationwide: DONATE link. Thank you. |

When is anyone going to force the government to use E-verify at Public Schools, State Lines, County Lines, City lines and the rest of the Entitlement Lines like the Anchor Baby Lines at County Hospitals, before requiring the private sector to bow down to the Kings and Queens in Government!
I want a level playing field!
Until the borders are completely secure both liberals and conservatives will pick and choose who is reprimanded and rewarded for illegal immigration!
Agreed Kevin, but the more we eliminate the benefits from gov’t to illegals to cross the border, the easier it will be to “seal the border”, even with the “border-lite security” and enforcement going on now.
Don’t think you get to be Gov of Texas without bowing deeply to private interests, as Bush did before him. Business loves the unbroken chain of uneducated, hard workers from the South. Perry is still in office, and with his jobs record brag, he could do a lot more by pushing through the bill eliminating sanctuary cities before the election. He won’t have my attention until he
does this and supports the Az and other state immigration laws. He is another die cast Republican representing the same interests as W. Look to the Tea Party for third party type leadership!
