The Obama Admin. shows once again who its REAL constituents are: ILLEGAL ALIENS. The Department of Justice, which is appealing Alabama’s outstanding new law, has set up a “hotline” number for illegals to report “civil rights” incidents under the new law.
Opponents of Alabama’s new immigration law can now call the Justice Department directly to make complaints about the state’s effort to crack down on illegal immigrants. The Justice Department has set up a hotline and email for the public “to report potential civil rights concerns related to the impact of Alabama’s immigration law.”
Clearly the DOJ is trying emotional manipulation to distract the 11th Circuit Appeals Court from the fact that AL is just enforcing existing Federal laws. Hopefully the justices will see through it, like Judge Sharon Lovelace Blackburn did.
Meanhwhile, where’s the “hotline” FOR CITIZENS who have LOST THEIR JOBS thanks to the doubling of illegals in AL in the past 10 years? Sorry, pal, the DOJ is NOT interested in you.

BTW, to see just how deep the La Raza tentacles reach into this Admin., the DOJ Civil Rights Division Chief is Thomas Perez…who previously served on the board of CASA DE MARYLAND – our main opponents in our recent victory to stop Maryland’s Dream Act in-state tuition for illegals. this is in addition to Cecilia Munoz, La Raza’s (NCLR) former chief lobbyist who now is one of Obama’s most senior staffers.

As a matter of fact, yes drug laws should be left to the states.. However, the fact also that the AL law mirrors almost entirely the federal law makes the state issue irrelevant anyway.. You pretend as if there is NO room whatoever anywhere for states to go their own way, bringing up the narcotics issue as an example where it is entirely within the state’s right.
We shouldn’t have to resort to creating state laws to enforce illegal immigration or marijuana, they are both illegal under Federal law. Our Federal Government should be enforcing both with the same fervor that they are exhibiting when fighting against the state immigration laws.
I believe the Governor of Alabama, is it Mr. Daly – had initially said he would NOT support illegal immigration, at the last minute and when he was really needed by AMERICANS, turned fickle and has since SUPPORTED the ilegal aliens. I just called at 9:22 EDST..the phone was answered on the first ring with the greeting “Civil Rights Division”. Naturally the Loony Leftie answered wasn’t concerned about enforcing the laws against illegal entry, document fraud, or theft of public services.

I worked for two branches of the federal gov’t. When I called the telephone number for illegals to report any civil rights abuse etc, the person answered the telephone after one ring!! Imagine that! His name was Jose Hernandez, ready to jump in for the criminal illegals, against us valid US citizens!

The vast majority of us could care less if an immigrant is here as long as it is legally. Our ancestors came here the legal way and there is no reason that current immigrants should not follow the same procedure.

We’re not angry at an entire race. I spent 2 years living in Mexico and they are, in general, some of the nicest people. So it has nothing to do with race. Illegal immigrants are here ILLEGALLY. They came here through improper means. And in many cases, it isn’t just Latinos that come here illegally. People from around the world cross our porous border, and not all of them came here just for a better paying job. Immigration laws go much deeper than you think.

I have been a florist for 5 years it is the only trade I know that I am good at and I can make a living off of. It’s not a good living but it’s better than nothing. I was recently replaced 9 weeks ago by an ILLEGAL women, her English was very poor the only designing she could do was if she had a picture of the arrangement even then it was shotty work, and she was not allowed in the front to deal with customers, my boss had me train her which was very difficult seeing that she doesn’t know English. After her skills where up to par my boss fired me saying that the company couldn’t afford both of us. If I’m getting paid minimum wage, and have the experience why was I fired? I was fired because these women will do my job for less than minimum wage. I can’t afford a lawyer, I can’t afford to go to court, I have a kid to support, and CA Department of labor after 2 hours of me holding basically took a note(or said they did) and did nothing!
By the way I called the hotline apparently since I was born here and obviously are not an illegal the DOJ dosent care that I was shafted. They said I should just collect my unemployment and find another job… In this economy? When CA unemployment is at 12.1% (national average is 9.1%)? Oh yea people are jumping to hire me when they can have a bunch of illegals for less. So tell me Mr high and mighty who are they hurting? They hurt everyone stuck in a low class pay bracket, not just the farm workers.
