ACT NOW: Post Immigration Questions for Tonight’s CNN Republican Debate

Tonight, CNN will hold another debate for Republican Presidential candidates, and we need the voices of the 600,000-strong Stand With Arizona community to be heard.

At the last Bloomberg-Washington post debate, questions on immigration were TOTALLY excluded – reportedly because the open-borders Michael Bloomberg wanted the rhetoric on immigration to be “toned down”. Well now thet we are back to an open format, it’s time to “tone” it back up – and express the outrage that the American People feel about the Federal Government’s total failure to defend our borders and deal with illegal aliens.

So let’s get back in action. Right now, I want all members to go to CNN’s special page to submit your immigration-related questions for tonight’s debate.

Think your question won’t get asked of the candidates? Well think again. Remember it was a question from a Stand With Arizona member from Phoenix at the FoxNews/Google debate which led Rick Perry to reveal his true beliefs about tutition breaks for illegals – that Americans who opposed it “don’t have a heart”. This transformed the campaign instantly. And it was all made possible by one of our community – by far the largest in the nation on this issue.

Some ideas for questions:

“Do you support the re-instatement of the $6 billion Congress allocated in 2006 to fund the construction of a border fence?”

“Do you support the Federal government suing cities like Chicago and San Francisco for providing “sanctuary” to illegal alien lawbreakers?”

“Do you support or oppose President Obama’s decree that illegal aliens cannot be deported unless they commit ‘serious’ crimes?”

“Do you support the right of the states to enact laws to enforce existing Federal immigration law, as Arizona and Alabama have?”

”What is you position on the ‘Fast and Furious’ scandal where the Obama Administration armed drug and illegal alien smugglers with assault weapons – which led to the deaths of two American agents?”

“Rick Perry: If you really claim to be serious about enforcing the law against illegal aliens, will you call for a special session to pass the Sanctuary Cities ban in Texas?”

PLEASE CONSIDER A DONATION of $10.70 (or an amount your prefer) to Stand With Arizona in honor of SB1070, to help us continue to fight against illegal alien amnesty and push for Arizona-style enforcement laws nationwide: DONATE link. Thank you.

How does asking someone to prove what country they are a citizen of become unconstititional?

  2. Tony Troncoso October 18, 2011 at 7:53 am #

This is a two part question…
Do you believe in the need to secure our borders & to help illegals find there way back home? Why or why not?
Do you support college tuition for an illegal resident? Or should state and or federal moneys go to LEGAL U.S. citizens? Why or why not?

Why are we in Afghanistan when we have bigger issues with the drug cartels in Mexico? I am blown away by what I see on Border wars. Wouldn’t it benefit us more if our troops were protecting us closer to home?

    • Tony Cheatham October 18, 2011 at 8:26 am #

Tracy, you have to think like a politician. Every country matters except America. What the politicians don’t see is……” lead by example”!! They don’t value the American people or any of our service personnel who are dying for causes that we have no business sticking our noses into. Maybe it’s time for ‘WE THE PEOPLE” to get rid of the tyrants in Washington D.C.!!!

  4. Tony Cheatham October 18, 2011 at 8:18 am #

Why have the politicians ignored our immigration laws and put the financial burden on the taxpaying citizens?? Why hasn’t this issue been part of the budget discussions?? Hundreds of billions anually going to support persons who don’t belong here!! Is there a politician out there who has the backbone to address this issue????

  5. Marilyn Brownell October 18, 2011 at 8:35 am #

What is the reason we aren’t securing our borders and enforcing the laws we already have?

  6. Jakelee McAllister October 18, 2011 at 8:42 am #

Would you support immigration checkpoints similar to those used in Mexico? Where an officer can check for proof that you are there legally if he has reasonal suspicion.

  7. Al Moore October 18, 2011 at 8:43 am #

Why wouldn’t relocating our military bases to the border regions, where we would have a continuing supply of troops stationed along the border to provide surveillance and arrest of trespassers, be a good idea?

  8. John Hill October 18, 2011 at 8:55 am #

Great questions everyone…make sure to also post them on CNN–use the big red button above.

Suggesting questions is a great idea.

Let’s get all the “Occupy” tents on the border to form a fence. The results will be threefold. They can hold their protest to someone that cares, illegal immigration won’t be so easy AND it will save the taxpayers a ton of money in not having to cleanup after them or have police working overtime.

In Los Angeles last year it cost taxpayers $60 million dollars to cover the costs for Illegal alien births. OVER 2/3 of ALL births in Los Angeles county are to Illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by American taxpayers, And in Dallas at Parkland Memorial 70% of ALL women giving birth were Illegal aliens costing taxpayers another $34.5 Million dollars. (That added up to 11,200 babies for which Medicaid kicked in 34.5 million dollars to deliver these babies, the feds another 9.5 million and Dallas taxpayers tossed in 31.3 million). Last year it cost the State of California $125 BILLION dollars for ILLEGAL births, their schooling and Welfare and Medi-Cal.
MY QUESTION: When are we going to put a stop to this insanity of Birth Right Citizenship?

  13. Anonymous October 18, 2011 at 10:09 am #

I take offence at the term entitlement being attached to Social Security and Medicare. I as well as millions of American Citizens have paid into this for 40 years plus and now the consensus of our political leaders is to cut benefits. Why do I never hear the word entitlement associated with Illegal Immigrates? What will you do stop the erosion of our American Citizen work force by Illegal Immigrates?

Should the US government offer a bounty to citizens of Mexico to inform US authorities about non-Mexicans illegally crossing the border?

  15. don nettleton October 18, 2011 at 10:42 am #

rather than cut military pay and soc sec benifits, lets cut legeslators “for life” pay and medical to public sector equivelincy and put them on soc sec for retirement benifits just like their constituants. and lets deport all illeagals no matter what natonality and send they “anchor babys” with them and revoke that citizenship of the anchor babys.
america is for americans and legal citizens !!!!!!!

  16. John Everhart October 18, 2011 at 11:25 am #

What would you do , as President , to rid OUR NATION of all of the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS that are already here and get jobs back to AMERICANS that want and need the jobs ? How will you secure OUR southern border to prevent these ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS from re-entering OUR COUNTRY ? What will you do to protect the PEOPLE along OUR southern border from these ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS ? Do you support Arizona and all of the states with similar bills to stop these ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS from taking ove OUR COUNTRY ? Will you stop giving TAXPAYER DOLLARS to these ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS , this includes college tuitions ?

  17. cathy October 18, 2011 at 12:26 pm #

Why are we not a war with mexico? and why are illegals still here costing the tax payers? when indeed they work also, but are never investigated, inturn collecting welfare checks on top of their pay checks.. Do any of the candidates believe in the constitution to uphold our immigration laws?

  18. Anthony October 18, 2011 at 2:31 pm #

Considering how many Americans and legal immigrants have voiced their opposition to illegal immigration and the distribution of tax dollars to fund the cost of illegal immigration, education, welfare in the form of (AFDC) aid for families with dependant children, food stamps, housing illegal immigrants in our jails and prisons systems. Not to mention the jobs taken by illegal immigrants, some working with fraudulent social security numbers. Why is it that the federal Government continues to support illegal immigration, guest worker programs and in some cases college tuition breaks to students that are here illegally? Why doesn’t the federal Government do more to enforce the laws that are on the books instead of trying to change them to accommodate and justify the illegal activity by these people, Identity theft, fraud, tax evasion, trespassing on American soil, And why does the Federal Government allow foreign Governments to dictate what we, The United States of America should be doing in this country concerning illegal immigrants when those same countries are not doing anything to support it’s own citizens and have little if any concern for the civil rights of the people that live in those same countries? Any why when a state decides to enforce the laws concerning illegal immigration does the federal Government try to step in and in some cases punish states that are trying to do the will of the people? After all isn’t that what government is supposed to do, support the, “Citizens” of that state? Thank you

    No one is always right.

What’s the strongest/best thing the President has done?

Like to see how open these candidates are to other ideas

I’d also like to understand why, if Michelle has a plan to get gas to $2 per gallon now, isn’t not revealing it for two years as unpatriotic as it gets?

We will believe this Administration is serious about creating Job’s, when we see “A 60 million jobs creation act”, that will order business’s, both Small, and Corporate to cease in the practice of utilizing illegal workers in practically every aspect of business manufacturing and services. And hold all Temporary Employment Agencies legally accountable for hiring known illegal workers, creating false worker identifications, Identity theft on every level to their American applicant’s seeking Employment, but in return has their Identification(Social Security Number, work history, and background) stolen -in order to justify Unchecked Illegal Employment Status. What a mockery of The Congress, The Senate, and Our current Administration, to “ignore” the very “ROOT-CAUSE” of Labor& services Unemployment nation wide, literally from Coast to Coast. And at the same time Exclaim What They Are Trying to Do to Create Job’s !! Oh Yeah, also, grant a dream act to insure US workers of no hope of getting their Job’s Back !!
