What a, um, surprise.
Barack Obama’s Injustice Department today issued the report we all expected against Maricopa Country, AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio – just in time for the 2012 election cycle.
In what the AP calls a “scathing” report alleging a “pattern of racial profiling and discrimination and carrying out heavy-handed immigration patrols”, the DOJ accused Arpaio’s office of “a wide range of civil rights violations against Latinos.”
“Latinos“? Or foreign nationals illegally in the U.S., 94% of whom ( in Arizona) happen to be of Hispanic-descent?
“Heavy-handed“? Or is that how Obama views the enforcement of Federal immigration laws that they refuse to enforce?
“Civil rights violations“? Or the proper inquiry into immigration status during lawful stops or arrests, as S.B. 1070 and Federal laws, including 287(g), authorize?
Translations are required because this Administration has turned the rule of law on its head. When the nation’s top law enforcement branch looks to punish a county sheriff – for enforcing existing laws – it is a devastating breach of trust with the American People.
But back to the “report“, which satisfies two of Obama’s principal political goals: (1) Pandering to Latino voters to distract them from his immigration failures, and shore up their support ahead of the election; and (2) Continuing their jihad against one of the most potent national symbols in the fight against illegal immigration: Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Eric Holder has been going after Arpaio since the day his boss took office, and today the DOJ continued its attack:
“Arpaio’s own actions have helped nurture MCSO’s culture of bias,” wrote Thomas Perez, who heads the Justice Department’s civil rights division. “MCSO is broken in a number of critical respects. The problems are deeply rooted in MCSO’s culture,” he said Thursday. [Video of Perez statement here]
Whoa – let’s take a look at who said that. Thomas Perez, the DOJ “Civil Rights Division” head. That’s right – the same division that thinks that Black Panthers with batons shouting racist threats at a polling place does not constitute voter intimidation, but that Voter ID laws do.
Who is Thomas Perez? He is a former board member of La Raza group “CASA de Maryland“, known as “The Illegal Aliens’ ACORN“. The taxpayer-funded CASA fights for welfare, tuition breaks, scholarships, voting and amnesty for illegals aliens, and makes generous use of the race card to silence critics.
CASA most recently fought for the Maryland “Dream” Act in-state tutition law, which Stand With Arizona’s 32,000 Maryland members and MDPetitions successfully fought to block via a massive petition drive. During the drive, CASA thugs shouted “racist”, obstructed, threatened and even spat at citizens attempting to sign petitions to overturn the disgraceful act.
And their former board member is now in charge of “civil rights” for the nation? Fox meet henhouse!
Thomas Perez has spent his life advocating on behalf of lawbreaking illegal aliens. If he were a judge, he would be forced to recuse himself from hearing a case against Arpaio. But we are supposed to accept his impartiality here? Ridiculous. This is a Kangaroo Court worthy of a Third World dictatorship.
The DOJ has given Arpaio a January 4th deadline to put in place nonsensical “anti-discrimination” policies, or face a Federal lawsuit. Here’s hoping Joe fights, as Jan Brewer, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Indiana are fighting: to defeat the lawless cabal in Washington and restore the rule of law on immigration once and for all.

This decision by Tom Perez is just another example of Obama’s Chicago croni culture. We may not recognize our country by the end of his one term presidency. God help us if he’s reelected!
When oh when will the American people finally decide we have had enough of the lawlessness in the White House? When are we going to realize that our country is being stolen–HAS been stolen? When will we decide to actually do something about it and join together across this great nation to make it happen? What is it going to have to come to in order to have justice done? I long for the day when I see Obama, Holder, et al, impeached, in handcuffs, and behind bars. We see what they are doing, it’s time to act before it’s too late and our country forever lost.
i have brown hair and blue eyes, when i get stopped i have to show ID so why shouldn’t everyone else? i was born in the USA of parents and grandparents that were born here but if a police officer asks for ID i better darn well have it on me. so why should illegals be able to say they are profiled? if my car is not legal i WILL get stopped and i better have my ID.

Sheriff Joe is a shining example of a law enforcement officer doing his job. Apparently some people want us to go back to the days of crooked cops and lawlessness. This administration wants him out of office because they cannot control him. Keep up the good job Joe Arpaio, you do have people who appreciate you.
