Sanctuary City Clowns Villaraigosa and Beck - putting the needs of illegals aliens ahead of public safety.
Finally, a voice of sanity has emerged to stand against the madness that is America’s Sanctuary City – Los Angeles.
The Police Protective League (PPL) – the union that represents Los Angeles police officers – has sued the city and Police Chief Charlie Beck this week over his disgraceful new policy that allows illegal alien unlicensed drivers to keep their cars instead of having them impounded for 30 days – as California state law mandates.
We profiled Beck’s announcement last month that the LAPD would “ignore” state law because “it’s about fairness“ to illegal aliens. Chief Beck – who is nothing but a lapdog for Mayor (and former MEChA radical) Antonio Villaraigosa – actually said the law was “unfair” because it would limit illegals’ ability to get to their jobs and impose a steep fine to get their car. (Of course, they have no such sympathy for legal citizens whose cars are impounded). Beck has showed a total disregard for both state and Federal laws that make him unfit to wear the uniform.
Well Beck and his boss may put the needs of illegals ahead of the safety of the public, but the police themselves have no such luxury. The union says they filed the lawsuit on behalf of its officers, who they say will be open to lawsuits if an unlicensed driver they stop later hurts or kills someone.
Indeed, a 2011 AAA study titled “Unlicensed to Kill” found that unlicensed drivers are five times more likely to be involved in fatal crashes and more likely to flee the scene of a crime.
The PPL filed their lawsuit Wednesday, asking the court to block Beck’s new order, which is scheduled to go into effect Sunday.
It is up to a judge to decide whether this disgraceful violation of California law can be stopped before citizens are put at increased risk this weekend. We salute the union for standing up against their own Chief and standing by the LEGAL taxpayers who pay their salaries.

When someone gets hurt or killed as a result of this policy then LA. will be looking at a mega multimillion dollar lawsuit and who do you thing will be paying for that?

a US mail carrier was killed in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles in february, and the illegal driver that hit him, a guy named Soto, had already been deported twice before but he lives freely in this sanctuary city. AND HE WAS ALLOWED TO DRIVE HOME AFTER !!!
This is hilarious, they have the laws anyone thought to be a street racer has their car CRUSHED. Now they turn around and do this on someone who IS guilty of breaking the law. Just because the laws are written in stone does not mean they are flexible.
I am appalled that a police chief wants to allow illegal immigrant criminals to get away with breaking another law that an American would be prosecuted for breaking. In the name of an illegals’s job that is rightly an American’s job.
I agree the LA police chief is not fit to wear his uniform nor is the Mayor fit to hold the keys to the city. There is no justification for total disregard for both State and Federal laws. They both need to be investigated by the government!!!! Or is government investigations reserved for illegal immigrant criminal’s and pro illegal immigrant criminal supporter’s sob stories? Again, another area the legal, law abiding American has no voice.
This appalling action by the LA police chief is a prime example of pro illegal immigrant criminal supporters trying to create Mexico America where the upholding and prosecution of laws only applies to Americans and not illegal immigrant criminals. Unfortunately this type of American discrimination has already been occurring and obviously is setting the stage for other illegal immigrant criminal supporters to play their clannish hand.
If Villaragosa loves Mexicans so much, he should move to Mexico and take Beck with him. He is of the crowd that wants to make the U.S.A. a Third World toilet, like his beloved Mexico, and he has already started by making a once beautiful city into a cesspool of scumbags from south of the border.
