He’s done it again. After enacting a virtual amnesty-by-decree for 300,000 illegal aliens last August, Obama is once again showing his total contempt for the rule of law by announcing a new amnesty and work permits for up to 1 million illegal aliens – effective immediately.
DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced that effective immediately, people who were brought to the United States before the age of 16 and meet certain criteria will be considered for relief from removal from the country or from entering into removal proceedings. Those eligible will receive deferred action for a period of two years, subject to renewal, and will be eligible to apply for work authorization.
This action represents an administrative end-run around Congress, which twice rejected the ‘DREAM Act’ in 2010.
1 million illegal aliens now have an immediate reprieve from deportation and will not be subject to deportation for at least two years – which the DHS can, unilaterally, extend this reprieve indefinitely using its own authority, not subject to Congressional approval. And we suspect, as with Sen. Dick Durbin’s DREAM Act, DHS can also provide unlimited reprieves and overrides for any of these illegal aliens, again on its own sole authority.
And Obama finally produces a jobs program – but for ILLEGAL ALIENS – as a million illegals will be added to a workforce to compete with Americans workers already suffering through a record length of recession unemployment.
We knew this was coming. Illegal alien advocates La Raza, ACLU, MALDEF and others have been urging Obama to sign an executive order for amnesty for weeks now, and press reports hinted that this might occur. But now, with his poll numbers collapsing, and independent voters abandoning him in swing states, Obama is using this virtual amnesty as a blatant attempt to garner more of the “Latino” vote, which itself had been souring on him for 2 years.
We need to see the fine print of this order, but if it is similar to the DREAM Act, we should expect an immediate increase in border crossings and massive new fraud as ineligible illegals and foreign nationals scramble to get in on the amnesty order – just as occured in 1986. That is because – as SWA noted in its objection – the DREAM Act would have permitted ANY illegal alien to apply for the amnesty, even if they were well outside the bounds of its terms, and they would be granted an automatic stay of deportation pending “investigation” – which could be extended indefinitely by the DHS Secretary.
If this order matches those terms of the DREAM Act, then we may well be looking at a MAJOR amnesty of more than 2 million ADDITIONAL illegals, due to document fraud, new border crossings, and fraudulent applications.
Enough is enough. This disgraceful end-run of the rule of law and constitution must NOT stand!

I can’t remember when I have been so upset with this government. When is the Congress going to reign in this president who waits until Friday when Congress is not in session and continues to bypass the legislative process and has unilaterally made policy changes regarding illegal immigration. He has to be controlled!! Congress MUST take action on this matter!!!
I sent emails to both Senators as well as my representative, Ted Poe voicing my disapproval and I urge everyone else to do the same. Call and/or wright your representatives.

Listen Olga, “the right” is according to the law of the land. When Indians roamed the prairies, they lived by the knife and by that rule their land was taken. Something new was built in its place. A country so spending that it became an epitome (do you know that word?) for the entire continent. The law of the land had changed – it’s a democracy now with fair rules, good police and honest judiciary. The kind of country you want to live in. There’s a slight problem however – this country does not want you in. There’s a law against that – passed by the congress and supported by the citizenry. If you understand that and still believe that you have the right to be here there are two options left: a) you are a petty criminal willing to break the law for its own good OR b) a conscious objector, subverting the law and challenging the seventy of the state over its territory. The punishment for the first is extradition. For the second is jail. Which one is going to be?
I came to US on a visitors visa when I was very young and didn’t have a say in it. I am not a Latino and I have never committed a felony or anything illegal. Because you were lucky enough to be born here doesn’t mean the rest of us shouldn’t be given a chance. I graduated from high school in 08 and am attending college. Please don’t use the excuse that adding a million to the workforce will take away jobs from citizen cause that is the worst lie I have ever heard. There are hundreds of thousand illegal working right now and they are doing things that you lazy fucks won’t do. Car wash, dish washer, law mowers… Yeah it’s very sad you guys think it’s ok to just kick us out when over 50% of private business rely on cheap labor that we provide. I have kids that were born and raised here in the US, and my oldest is 19 and in College, and cannot get a job because she does not speak fluent Spanish!!!! All of the “next generation” that you are talking about are getting them, because yes they were brought here as young children, but they are bi-lingual because they have no other choice! I know that these kids could not control the actions of their parents, but expecting to be given citizenship on a silver platter is a bit much. Work permit or not they are still not following the same path to citizenship that everyone else has to.

You say that everyone on this continent are rightfully called Americans. If that is so why do those from Mexico call themselves Mexicans, Canada Canadians, Costa Rica Costa Ricans, etc?
This argument isn’t about a continent its about a Country. We as citizens of the United States of America are called Americans. No other country on this continent refers to themselves as Americans. Hell even those who are here illegally march in protests carrying Mexican flags.
You want us to welcome illegals with open arms? Our President might want to give them all a big sloppy wet kiss but Presidents come and go, the American people are the only constant in this country, and I would bet that we would welcome them with open arms…just as soon as they come here legally.
It’s not about what country someone comes from, we have and will welcome all peoples, its about doing things the right way. By crossing the border illegally (and knowing it was illegal) they have proven to us that they have no problem with crime.
Lets see how about you come home one night and there are a few new people in your house, ones that just broke in. Are you going to welcome them? Going by the view of those who say “they just want better than they have” and the like, shouldn’t you give the people that broke the law to get into your home everything they want?
Think about it, if we are to overlook one crime shouldn’t we overlook the breaking and entering too?
