LIVE VIDEO: Senate Hearing on ‘Comprehensive Immigration Reform’

The Senate is holding hearings on “immigration reform” this morning, following the House last week. As this is the Democrats’ domain, the panel favors their positions big time, with only ONE witness representing an anti-amnesty viewpoint – ICE Union head Chris Crane.

In an outrageous move (but one which is hardly surprising, after last night’s SOTU disgrace), one of the witnesses is himself an illegal alien – Jose Antonio Vargas, the journalist who once used false credentials to gain entry to the White House – a felony which no one seems particularly interested in prosecuting.

And of course, no amnesty-pimping hearing would be complete without the head of La Raza, Janet Murguia, who will no doubt spout their usual race-baiting and lies with which we have sadly become accustomed.

I wish someone would point out that any figure obama et al come up with should be multiplied by at least a factor of four. Thanks to Ted Kennedy’s Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 (Family Reunification), any new citizen can then bring in Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, et al and immediately put them on Social Security. Even legals are abusing this part (personal observation).

Even $500 a month will seem like wealth beyond dreams to someone who has lived in poverty all their life.

And then we have all the crippled relatives who can immediately go on SSI.
